I managed to find a great little "shout" or "blog" script that can run inside of phpfootball. It is called Tag Board, I am using it as a way for logged in users to have fun bashing everyone else in the league. Someone mentioned this on one of the other boards and there seem to be some interest.
Here is the link to the script, which by the way does not need any MYSQL database:

I have included a screen capture of what it looks like.

Regards,
Steve

This looks good I'd like to add it to the next release 2.0 with spreads. Can you send my your site location so I can take a closer look at what you've done.

Thanks,
G

Steve your site looks great. You've done a great job with the changes you've made. Have you had a chance to take a look at the Version 2.0 spreads demo site. If so what do you think about the changes. I would really like to here any suggestions you may have.

Also can you send me a copy of your index.php which incorporates your changes for the shout box. I'd also like to see your header.php since I really like the addition of the site logo and the static menu items on the right.

If you wish I can send you a copy of Version 2.0 to play with during the off season.

Thanks again,
G

Sure thing, I am attaching both php files in the zipped file. It was always easier for me to just rename the files to .html, make the changes in frontpage and then rename the file back to .php.

The script that I used for the shoutbox can be found at:
http://www.cj-design.com/products/free_downloads/php_scripts/cjtagboard

The only reason I haven't checked out version 2 is because there are a small handful of people here that don't like using point spreads. On the other hand, I get quite a few who like to use it so I will put it up for vote next year.

I will be checking out your demo soon and I'll give you my 2 cents worth Very Happy

Steve

That's an interesting idea using Frontpage and then renaming to php a really nice idea. I think that I'll give it a try.

I've added some Ajax to PHPFootball which allow background access to the server with out a screen refresh. Can you take a look at what I've done with the user update under admin and let me know what you think and where you think that we could include more Ajax for background tasks. You can login as admin with the password of 'george' demo site at http://lvbash.com/phpfootball20.

Thanks for the help and the files,

G
