Is there an easy way to change the admin user name to something else? , I have several pools and when an admin logs in they are logged in to all other pools too. _________________ TH |

| Correct me if I'm wrong, it's been over a year since I tore thru most of the PHP code but, I thunk I remember the username "admin" as being setup to be ignored as a pool member. If you were to change the "admin" username to say "todhend", "todhend" would then start showing up in the results lists. Which isn't horrible but along with that, I think there is a lot of other things that are only displayed is the username is "admin". It really shouldn't be hard coded like that but, it's going to be like that for awhile. I suggest to not change the username "admin" unless you've gone thru and changed all the hard coded references also. |

I pretty much had the same thoughts; there are a lot of hard coding including users, registration, email, and cookies, which are hard to change without more knowledge. I always dabble to the point where I get stuck then put it on the back burner!
I did find it in the variables table in the database and it worked but I have not tested it during the season yet
Thanks _________________ TH |

If you change the name in the variables table everything will still work correctly since the php scripts are looking at the admin_username and comparing it to the logged in user. I will add a option in version 2.0 to ask for an admin name at install or update time.
Thanks,
